High Beckside Accommodation
The Main House
A glazed front door leads to an oak-panelled entrance lobby. From here an original studded oak door leads to the ‘down house’ or dairy – now a well-equipped drying room with w/c and ample room for storage of outdoor equipment.
The cosy living/dining area has comfy sofas and an extendable dining table. There is an open fire, exposed oak beams, and a smart TV. Next to the fireplace is an old spice cupboard dated 1707. The lounge also leads into the well-equipped open plan kitchen with Lakeland stone worktops, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
The whole house is decorated with touches reflecting the local landscape, with Herdwick wool carpets in the living/dining area. There are woolen rugs and throws throughout the house, and a number of original paintings and prints by local artists hang on the cottage walls.
There are 3 bedrooms in the main part of the house, – one double, one twin and a single. The family bathroom has a large walk-in shower, fully tiled with local Lakeland slate, a w.c. and a wash basin. All of the bedrooms have great views towards Hartsop Dodd.
